Church History

oon after Rev. McCoy's return to St. John, the vision that God had given him to build a new church began to happen. The ground was turbed over on October 5, 1995 to build that vision. On Easter Sunday April 7th, 1996 under the leadership of Rev. Nathaniel McCoy, St. John moved into their new beautiful Church, which we are still in today. Not only are we still in the building but it was paid off in april 2007 and a note burning ws preformed on sunday November 4th, 2007.

ue to an untimely death to the St. John Family on Sunday May 1ST, 2005, Rev Nathaniel McCoy was called home to be with his Lord and Though Rev. McCoy was absent from our presence he still continued to be a light onto our path and a blessing to our St. John Family. Upon his death he left the church $50.000.00 in which 40,000.00 went to pay off the church.

t. John was without a shepard for 8 months. Finally on December 28th, 2005 the St. John Family called the Reverend Darrick Bledsoe,Sr. as our Pastor. On Sunday January 15th, 2006 Rev. Darrick Bledsoe, Sr. and First Lady Sister Sherry Bledsoe and Family came to St. John to take the reigns and govern over god's people as God would have him do. In the last 3 years St. John has continued to grow spiritually and physically.

nder Pastor Bledsoe's Leadership a media ministry has been developed and future ministiries are in the planning stage. And, with God's help St. John will continue to be the church "Where God is still in charge and Everyone is Important."
